Valard Construction LP is currently seeking qualified **Powerline Technician**to join our **Toronto Hydro Grid Response Team**. We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated, and team players willing to work shift work plus overtime. You will be eligible to receive a shift premium for work on the Grid Response Team. Have a full understanding of the underground and overhead distribution systems. The ability to work collaboratively with a partner to effectively troubleshoot problems within the distribution system.

**Requirements**:

- Red Seal Distribution Lineman (Must have Red Seal Certificate or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 -10 years distribution experience.
- Class 4 Rubber Glove experience.
- Class DZ mandatory (preference to AZ).
- Working at Heights Cert up to date.
- Live within daily driving distance of the GTA. Local to GTA preferred.

- Valard Construction is a CUSW Union employer: CUSW member would be an asset / must be willing to join CUSW union.
- Positive Attitude and good work ethic.
- Living in Toronto Area.
- Previous Toronto Hydro experience.
- Current UWPC.
- Standard First Aid (CPR/AED).
