**As a Home Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients.**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Providing Essential Homemaking Support**: Execute homemaking tasks according to the established care plan, ensuring the highest standards of comfort and safety for our clients.
- **Maintaining a Clean and Safe Environment**: Perform light housekeeping duties, including washing dishes, doing laundry, making beds, sweeping and mopping floors, dusting, vacuuming, and removing garbage.
- **Meal Preparation and Shopping**: Prepare nutritious meals as outlined in the care plan and shop for groceries and personal items.
- **Childcare and Pet Care**: Provide attentive childcare and pet care as specified in the care plan.
- **Monitoring and Reporting**: Observe client conditions meticulously and report any unusual events or changes in condition promptly.
- **Infection Prevention**: Adhere to infection prevention practices to ensure a safe environment.
- **Record Keeping**: Maintain accurate and detailed client records and documentation as required.
- **Continuous Learning**: Engage in ongoing internal and external continuing education activities to stay updated with best practices in home support.**Make “being the difference” your Career..**

Job Qualification

**Education**:

- Secondary School Graduate or equivalent
- Completion of Home Support Program/courses preferred

**Other Requirements**:

- Reliable transportation
- Clear criminal background check with vulnerable sector screening

**Experience and skills**:

- Proven experience, of at least one year, in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Understanding of infection prevention practices.
- Exceptional communication and observational skills.
- Proficiency in performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
