**Job requirements**:
Residency: Only residents of Canada legally entitled to work in Canada will be considered.

Education: Post secondary training as Electrical Technician or Technologist or similar experience the construction field is an asset.

Experience: Previous experience is valued but not necessary. Good fit with our company’s culture of quality work and strong relationships is paramount to the applicant’s success.

**Skills**:
Familiarity with programs such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and any experience with 3D Design Software (Revit, Visual) are relevant to the position. We are interested in someone who is outgoing, technically minded, and self motivated who can interact closely with our valued customers. Presentation and education around our product lines is an important aspect of this position, as is the ability to host meals with our clientele.

Waterman Sales is a busy Electrical Sales Agency representing roughly 60 manufacturers in a territory of Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. Operating in the Ottawa-Gatineau region since 1992, Waterman Sales is an established member of the region’s Electrical construction community. The bulk of our business is based in commercial projects including the Ottawa Congress Center, West Block of Parliament Hill, Bayshore Shopping Center, Light Rail, Schools, Street lighting etc. We are of a team of 13 long term staff in roles including outside sales, technical support, project management and quotations. **What we do**:
We are a sales firm driving the market for a range of world class lighting, controls and electrical products. Our team supports the commercial supply and specification communities (architects, engineers and designers, distributors, owners) with their budgeting, design, procurement and technical needs. We act as a wholesaler selling materials through a range of electrical distributors to electrical contractors and end users.

**Hours of operation**:
8-5 Monday-Thursday, 8-1 Fridays, office located at 980 McBride Street.

**Compensation and duration**:
We are looking for a full-time permanent member of our team who is looking to start a career with Waterman Sales. Salary to be negotiated, with company performance-based bonus and optional medical and dental benefits upon completion of a probationary period.

**Salary**: $40,000.00 to $50,000.00 /year
