Position: Solar Installer

We are growing Hiring opportunity for the position of Solar Installer with Hakai Energy Solutions in Cumberland, BC located in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island.

Job Duties:

- Lifting and transporting solar panels and other necessary materials from work vehicles to site
- Layout and fasten aluminum racking systems to mounting surfaces to support solar modules
- Handling and fastening solar modules to aluminum frames
- May include measuring, cutting, assembling, and bolting structural framing and solar modules
- May perform minor electrical work such as cable routing and fastening
- Identify and address safety hazards associated with solar photovoltaic (PV) installations
- Maintain organization and monitor stock in work vehicles
- Promote safe working conditions and adhere to occupational health and safety regulations
- Work under the guidance of Red Seal Electrician crew lead, and system designers
- Maintain organization and follow directions with efficiency and accuracy

**Requirements**:

- Willing to travel and work out of town on occasion
- Must be comfortable working at heights
- Must be comfortable with labor intensive tasks
- Must own required hand tools, tool belt and basic PPE
- Drivers abstract must be provided at interview stage
- Team oriented, positive attitude with solid communication skills
- Inclusive, respectful demeanor and capable of working in a diverse environment
- Customer service skills

- 3-month probation period
- Preference given to applicants available ASAP

**Salary**: From $22.50 per hour
