Store Manager

**Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Provide top quality leadership and guidance to your team
- Daily communication and engagement with store employees
- Maintain close working relationship with Regional Manager
- Work with customers to determine their interests and fitness needs
- Conduct professional, engaging sales presentations
- Meet or exceed financial goals, focusing on sales, service, delivery, and overall profitability
- Regular monitoring of inventory levels and forecasting for the future
- Prioritize tasks and/or projects for completion within designated deadlines
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and protocols
- Ensure all staff are ethical in their practices and processes
- Protect employees and customers by providing a clean and safe store environment
- Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements
- Work with marketing to assist with advertising, promotions, trends, etc.
- Ensure all staff is up to date with product knowledge
- Train sales, delivery, and service associates for all store positions, as applicable.
- Create and monitor staff work schedule
- Conduct performance evaluations, implementing individual development plans
- Establish and maintain operational and monetary controls. Prepare daily bank deposits and perform daily/weekly auditing tasks.
- Report any discrepancies, theft, or suspected theft by employees or customers to the Regional Manager immediately
- Drive sales through the development of sales staff, focusing on coaching, training, and role modelling desired behaviors
- Achieve company objectives through effective planning, setting sales goals, analyzing performance data, and projecting future performance
- Manage month-end, quarterly, and year-end close processes

**SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Recognize the importance of establishing a connection with the Fitness Team, our customers and providing a great overall experience
- Post secondary education (preferred)
- Experience in retail sales at a managerial level (preferred)
- Knowledge and experience in fitness industry
- Computer competency, proficient with word, excel & outlook
- Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills (verbal & written)
- Ability to provide staff with successful training on products, processes and procedures
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Accountability, integrity and dependability
- Professional, team player with a positive “can do” attitude
- Exceptional work ethic, motivated and driven to meet or exceed goals & objectives
- Have a clean driver’s abstract and criminal record check
- Have a great sense of humor

- Retail management: 2 years (required)
