**Accountabilities**

In addition to Installation Meter Technician Level 1 tasks

  • Perform meter installation inspections for all meters used by Metergy
  • Perform meter programming for all meters used by Metergy
  • Contact Customers for access
  • Identify and communicate all deficiencies on all meter installations. Where reasonable, perform repairs necessary to address deficiencies.
  • On-site meter installation coordination
  • Working knowledge of single line drawings, meter installation design, and meter network installation
  • Residential and Retail (120v) - Common Area / Boundary meter S-E-04 installation inspection
  • Communication established with all meters - All meters require a communication status update when completing commissioning.
  • Perform Customer Meter (suite and commerical) Investigations
  • Mandatory position Level Testing when hiring new employees
  • Perform meter exchanges on 120/208V systems
  • Support building design

**Qualifications**

  • Ability to explain and discuss technical or specialized information;
  • Principles of energy and demand metering;
  • Selection, use and testing of current transformers;
  • Basic understanding of 3 phase energy metering;
  • Installation verification for single phase meter and network meters/systems;
  • Meter exchange Thermal and Water
  • Theory and use of pulse based meters, collectors and data systems;
  • Work is based on broad guidelines, well established precedents and some judgment is required;
  • Principles of powerline carrier, hard wire and radio frequency telecommunication;
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot problems that are not readily apparent, symptoms may be vague and facts may be incomplete
