**Director of Credit Risk & Decision Science**

**About the Role**
We’re building Canada’s most disciplined consumer-lending company, and we need a Director who can _both_ build credit models _and_ run the system they live in. You’ll own the entire risk intelligence layer — model design, validation, and portfolio decisioning.
**You’ll**:
- Lead end-to-end model lifecycle: feature engineering, training, back-testing, challenger/production deployment, and monitoring.
- Integrate new data sources (TransUnion Credit Vision, traditional bureau, open-banking feeds).
- Own portfolio analytics: PAR and loss curves, segmentation, Gini/AUC tracking, and early-warning indicators.
- Partner with Technology to embed real-time credit decision logic into Evolve OS and Provenir.
- Translate findings into lending policy, pricing strategy, and executive reporting.
- Oversee external data-science contributors and validate all third-party models (e.g., refinance-loan behavioural model).
**You Are**:
- A quant-operator with 8 + years in credit-risk or data-science within consumer lending or fintech.
- Fluent in Python / SQL / R and comfortable inside the model codebase.
- Equally fluent in P&L thinking — you connect Gini curves to gross-yield outcomes.
- Capable of reviewing, challenging, and improving models developed by others.
- Naturally skeptical; you treat every model output as a hypothesis until proven in the portfolio.
