**Job Summary**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Equipment Operator and Material Handler to join our team.

**Tasks and Responsibilities**:
Forklift operation for loading/unloading of trucks and material/container handling:

- Operating Kalmar DCG150-6T heavy duty forklift
- Operating Linde H80D heavy-duty forklift
- Operating various propane and electric counter-balance forklifts

Rental Equipment Operation:

- Operating scissor lifts
- Operating boom lifts
- Operation of mini/compact excavators
- Operation of bobcats
- Operation of Forklifts
- Operation of floor sweepers

Rental equipment pre
- / post rental prep and maintenance:

- Pre & Post Trip Inspections
- Pre & Post Trip Maintenance
- Pre & Post Trip Cleaning
- Decaling
- Supply Maintenance and Organization

Shop-use equipment pre / post-use inspections and maintenance:

- Pre & Post Use Inspections
- Pre & Post Use Maintenance
- Pre & Post Use Cleaning
- Supply Maintenance and Organization

Yard and Shop Organization:

- Shipping container organization in yard
- Equipment and attachments organization/parking
- Yard kept tidy and clean
- Shop organization (materials and supplies)
- Shop and shipping / receiving kept clean
- Other organizational/cleaning tasks as assigned

Shipping and Receiving (Containers, Equipment, Materials, and Products):

- Prepares container, equipment, materials, and products for shipping
- Loads and unloads trucks and couriers as needed
- Ensures containers and equipment are ready and staged prior to pick-up based on the release/acceptance schedule as outlined by the Logistics Manager
- Prints and ensures correct shipping documents are provided to inbound and outbound shipments
- Receives shipping containers, materials, and equipment, ensuring documentation is complete and goods are received in accordance with company procedures.

Production & logistics support:

- Supports production team with loading containers into shop as well as pulling containers out of the shop.
- Assists Logistics manager with allocating suitable containers for container projects
- Ensures containers are adequately inspected prior to and after coming in or out of the shop.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Logistics or Production manager.
- Strong communication skills with external and internal contacts.
- Good at problem solving.

Experience, Competencies, and Training:

- 2+ years experience operating heavy forklifts
- 2+ years of experience operating counterbalance forklifts
- Mechanical background or competency is considered an asset
- Experience operating various equipment, such as bobcats, compact excavators, boom lifts, and scissor lifts considered an asset
- 2+ Shipping and receiving materials
- Shipping container handling experience considered and asset.
- Handy with hand tools and the like, considered an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
