Looking for a great career? Rosenau Transport Ltd is looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor for our Vancouver Operations.
- Co-ordination of freight activities for Rosenau Transport, or sister companies, in the fields of city dispatch, pick up and delivery services, dock operations, rescale, line haul, equipment maintenance, receivables, payables and claims.
- Direct and participate in the implementation and evaluation of projects assigned to ensure consistency with established policies and profit goals.
- Knowledge of all positions is required to direct the activities.
- Involved in operational practices; trends, safety, political or regulatory activities, and competitive or economic changes which may affect the ability of their team to meet the projects profitability goals.
- Coordinate vendor activities and scheduling for onsite dock and dispatch support services.

**Specific Responsibilities**:

- Establishes performance criteria for each of the project employees and provides a method to record, report and evaluate the results of each employee’s behavior and activities.
- Ensure that safety and safe working practices are exercised and coordinated with all employees, customers and vendors.
- Ensure all personnel are properly trained and promote safe working practices at all times.
- Responsible for the availability and operating condition of all necessary trucks and equipment. Assure that proper maintenance of vehicles has been undertaken and safety standards are met.
- Control, verify, and compile all released paperwork to document freight received, authorization of trip sheets, bills of lading, handling of pro-bills and money, etc. Coordinate routing through proper administrative channels.
- Handle, resolve and investigate customer complaints, inspections, and the cause of damage, shortage and overage of freight.
- Comply with all applicable Federal, Provincial and local laws and regulations.
- Observe all company rules, policies and procedures with regards to quality control, Occupational Health and Safety, etc.
- Other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Operations Management.

**Salary**: From $70,000.00 per year
