**Position Profile**
The Community Integration Support Supervisor is a key leadership role that is focused on supporting the most marginalized and vulnerable youth across the Region of Peel. The successful incumbent will lead the day-to-day operations with an emphasis on a developing and facilitating programming for youth.
The Community Integration Support Supervisor works cooperatively with guests and staff to develop a comprehensive care path plan that supports guests transition to Canada. They will work to establish community partnerships that support settlement services and work collaboratively with key stakeholders. The Community Integration Support Supervisor will provide leadership and supervision to front-line youth workers, volunteers, and students.
**Role Overview**
- Build, lead, and engage frontline staff by providing support, supervision, and feedback for performance in line with growth and development.
- Manages regular program meetings while focusing on deliverables, quality and continuous improvement
- A role model in promoting a healthy and safe environment, while instilling processes, procedures and policies for all safety requirements and emergency procedures
- Coordinate and/or facilitate group-based and one-on-one life skills programs onsite and potentially within the community.
- Provide a calendar to the youth that consists of internal and external programming
- Provides additional support with care path planning to prepare youth for independent living/housing
- Actively engage the youth of the residence on a daily basis to participate in programming
- Leads and is responsible for the day-to-day shift organization of the Settlement Hotel Program
- Engage and participates on committees with other agencies addressing issues facing youth and systemic barriers across the settlement sector
- Ensures the confidentiality of personnel, client and administrative files.
- Compile statistical information and prepare monthly reports.
- Provides on-call support, which includes problem-solving, consultation, guidance and feedback to front-line employees through crisis management and challenging events.
- Foster a positive and supportive working environment.
**Qualifications**
- Degree in Social Services or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- A leader with excellent communication, presentation, organization, and interpersonal skills with a passion for supporting the most vulnerable and marginalized youth in our community.
- Flexibility to work in a 24-hour, 7 day operation, while supporting an on call rotation
- 2-4 years of supervisory experience working within the social services sector, a focus on settlement services would be considered highly valuable.
- Knowledge of resources and supports for youth and exposure to Region of Peel resources.
- Experience with case management including referrals to community agencies and immigration support
- A valid Ontario Driver’s License, access to a vehicle and $2,000,000 (minimum) liability car insurance coverage are mandatory.
- Valid CPI/ UMAB and First Aid/ CPR certifications
- Completion of a successful Vulnerable Sector Check/Criminal Record Check will be a condition of employment.
