**Maintenance Supervisor**:
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for all aspects of safety & maintenance for the Sawmill mill.
**Functions and Responsibilities**:
- Achieving Maintenance goals with the highest regard for employee safety;
- Capable of supporting troubleshooting & observations of machine centers with shift supervisors and other maintenance staff to ensure production and quality standards are met;
- Managing the department cost in an aggressive manner assuring optimum manufacturing unit cost; develop, and educate key metrics.
- Maintenance Planning, planning non-emergency maintenance, coordinating PM routes;
- Effectively communicating goals and/or instructions;
- Managing conflicts
**Measures and Performance**:
- Safety/environmental compliance;
- Interpersonal skills;
- Maintenance/departmental cost;
- Quality;
- Employee training and development;
- Production, grade recovery and downtime;
- Maintenance & appearance of production/plant equipment.
**Knowledge and Skills Required**:
- Ability to communicate well - both oral and written;
- Certified Trades Person or Minimum 4th Year Apprentice
- Proficient in Microsoft Office ;
- Leadership/supervisory skills;
- A minimum of five years of industrial experience;
- Ability to function independently.
