Energy Procurement Manager
The Energy Procurement Manager support delivery of Equinix's Global Energy and Sustainability strategy in North America. The role will be part of the team leading the Equinix Energy Procurement and Sustainability program and will work globally with other project teams and stakeholders to provide strategic support and leadership to deliver the program in the region.
**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for day-to-day management of energy supply contracts across North America.
- Monitor market trends, understand technical details around available energy products across North America.
- Part of a team providing analysis, research and business guidance across North American covering topics such as; (i) Generation, (ii) Utilities, (iii) Regulation and industry associations on public policy and advocacy (energy) and (iv) Transmission and Distribution.
- Program manage third party energy consultant to hit business operational goals. key global workstreams include; energy bill payment, energy invoice validation and budget management.
- Be part of a team providing driving continual improvement across the entire energy function, driving operational excellence, provide support and guidance to system/tool creation and use.
- Be a point of contact across a number of internal cross functional objects and tasks.
- Provide support to facilitate energy-related special projects and opportunities across the region.
**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in energy sector (Buyer / Supplier / Utility / Energy Consultancy) and/or sustainability experience.
- Numerate or analytical degree in a business / economics / engineering / similar discipline.
- Demonstrated program management and delivery skills, showcasing ownership and accountability combined with aptitude for workstream organization and ongoing improvement.
- Experience with tools and systems to handle, analyze and compare large sets of cost data.
- Broad understanding of Power Purchasing Agreements (PPA’s) in North America.
- Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with the local and international teams within the company.
- Professional and self-motivated with the ability to be office-based and to work remotely.
- Demonstrated ability to work and learn independently, with guidance and direction from manager.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, successfully interfacing with all internal and external stakeholders.
The United States targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
- San Francisco, CA / Bay Area: $111,000 to $185,000 per year
- California (Non-SF/Bay Area), Connecticut, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington state: $104,000 to $172,000 per year
- Colorado, Nevada, Rhode Island: $94,000 to $156,000 per year
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
