- **Key Responsibilities**:_
- Conduct comprehensive biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments
- Stay current with kinesiology research and best practices
- Work collaboratively with patients to set and achieve their functional goals.
- Carry out fitness training sessions or rehabilitation sessions.
- Guide and educate patients with recommended treatment plans.
- Collaborates with other healthcare professionals regarding the patient's condition, needs, and progress.
- Maintain detailed patient documentation using electronic charting systems
- Educate patients on injury prevention and wellness strategies
- **Essential Qualifications**:_
- Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or related field.
- BCAK (British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists) registration
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics
- Experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
- Experience with ICBC claims and motor vehicle accident rehabilitation preferred
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Proficiency in computer operation and electronic medical records systems.
- Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., Korean, Mandarin, Cantonese) is a plus.
