- The Communications Strategist is a key member of a highly integrated communications team. The Communications Strategist works closely with the Strategy and Media Relations, Content Marketing teams, and serves as the primary Communications representative for the Digital Solutions Team.- The Communications Strategist is deeply knowledgeable about the marketing and communications environment works closely with TOH’s Digital Solutions Team to understand their operations, objectives in order to provide strategic communications advice and planning. The Strategist combines this knowledge along with metrics, best practices, professional experience and other inputs to produce evidence-based strategies, advice and targeted communications collateral that address client objectives while being aligned with the Hospital’s strategic priorities.**Basic Requirements**:
- 4-year Undergraduate Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism or another relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the development, implementation and evaluation;
- of communications and marketing strategies and plans;
- Professional experience in a strategic communications or marketing role and a mastery of skills required to develop and implement successful marketing/communications;
- Experience in internal communications;
- Experience providing services to, working with, and influencing senior internal clients, e.g. professionals and leadership;
- development with a goal of meeting client and hospital objectives.
- Demonstrated success in developing communications strategies and plans.
- Significant experience in researching, writing, and editing communications plans and products under tight deadlines with clear and simple language, using technical, complex or sensitive information or documents;
- Experience identifying and managing issues and providing strategic communications advice to senior management (verbally and in writing) in a complex and dynamic working
- environment;
- Excellent organizational, time management and critical thinking skills with the ability to use;
- good judgment for assessing and responding to difficult situation;
- Experience in developing a variety of communications content for a variety of digital platforms, speaking notes, media lines, etc;
- Strong understanding of the mobile-first, omni-channel environment;
- Experience in public environmental analyses, interpreting digital data such as web analytics and SEO;
- Ability to brief on complex issues in a clear and concise manner;
- Proven knowledge of digital, broadcast and print media and an appreciation of the rapid pace at which stories move in a 24/7 communications environment;
- Proven abilities in building partnerships and/or collaborative working relationships with a wide variety on internal and external stakeholders;
- Sound strategic advice, judgment, initiative, creativity, flexibility, tact, and diplomacy, as well as;
- Experience in dealing with conflict situations and sensitive issues that reflect on corporate image;
- Demonstrated capabilities in managing complex multiple projects to completion;
- Calm under pressure, a multi-tasker, excellent attention to detail and demonstrated ability to deliver results on demand;
- Results oriented with the ability to work in a self-directed and independent manner;
- Demonstrated ability to think proactively and provide advice and services to a client;
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.**Preferred Qualifications**:
