Amari Films is a luxury wedding film brand serving high-end South Asian and multicultural weddings. We value calm presence, refined taste, and storytelling that feels timeless. We are expanding our photo team for 2025.

**The role**

You will film weddings and related events with a focus on **cinematic storytelling, candid emotion, and editorial detail**. You’ll work closely with our photo team to ensure seamless coverage and a consistent client experience. We are hiring **Lead Videographers** and **Second Shooters,** depending on the project.

**Responsibilities**
- Film weddings, pre-events, and portrait sessions with a cinematic, editorial approach
- Serve as Lead or Second Shooter depending on assignment
- Scout light, locations, and angles with the Producer
- Direct couples and families for efficient portrait and detail coverage when needed
- Collaborate closely with photographers on timelines, angles, and lighting to avoid competition
- Manage on-site data integrity: dual-slot capture, backup at wrap
- Deliver RAW video files (and basic selects if requested) within 48 hours via our workflow
- Maintain Amari’s visual and storytelling standards
- Represent the brand with calm, professional client service

**Requirements**:

- 2+ years of wedding or event videography experience or 15+ full-day events filmed
- A strong reel/portfolio demonstrating cinematic wedding or event work
- Mastery of natural light and ability to adapt in dynamic environments
- Reliable full-frame mirrorless/DSLR camera with dual card slots (preferred: Sony/Canon), fast primes and zooms (24-70, 70-200), monopod/gimbal, and on-camera mic
- Proficiency with clean audio capture (lavaliers, recorders, or direct feeds)
- Strong file management and backup habits
- Weekend and evening availability; ability to stand and carry gear for long days
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Legal right to work in Canada

**Nice to have**
- Experience filming South Asian weddings and multi-day schedulesOff-camera lighting kits and standsBasic Premiere/Final Cut knowledge for simple pulls or culls
- Punjabi or Hindi language skills

**Schedule and travel**
- Primarily Fridays to Sundays with some weekday events
- Hours vary month-to-month depending on bookings and seasonality
- Travel days are paid; mileage or crew transport provided for out-of-city events
- Per diems provided for overnight travel

**Compensation and perks**
- $35-$65 CAD/hour based on role and experience
- Second Shooter: $35-$50
- Lead Videographer: $50-$65
- Time on site paid from call to wrap.
