**Front-of-House Manager**
Wildfire Golf Club is a private, family-focused golf club located in Ontario’s Kawartha cottage country on the shores of Stoney Lake. Designed by Tom McBroom, Wildfire offers an exceptional golf experience complemented by a vibrant clubhouse, patio, and seasonal food and beverage programming for members and guests.
As the Club continues to enhance its dining, patio, and event offerings, we are seeking an energetic, service-driven Front-of-House Manager to lead our front-of-house operations and play a key role in delivering an outstanding member experience.
**Position Overview**
Reporting to the F&B Manager/Executive Chef and working closely with the Club’s senior management team, the Front-of-House Manager is responsible for overseeing all front-of-house (FOH) operations, including daily dining service and special events.
This is a seasonal position, running April 1 through November 6, with the potential to start earlier in the spring to assist with staff recruitment, onboarding, and pre-season preparation.
Wildfire Golf Club is also exploring the possibility of extending clubhouse operations into December, focused on limited dining service and holiday events. Should this occur, there may be opportunities for extended employment beyond the core season.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide leadership and oversight for all FOH dining and event operations, including the development and execution of departmental goals.
- Foster a culture of exceptional member and guest service, ensuring consistently high-quality experiences.
- Maintain a strong and visible presence throughout the clubhouse and patio, engaging with members and guests and actively gathering feedback.
- Work in conjunction with F&B Manager to oversee all special events, including member functions and private events, from initial planning through on-site execution**.**:
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop a motivated FOH team, including supervisors, with a focus on service standards, professionalism, and accountability.
- Oversee FOH training programs, safety compliance, and administrative requirements.
- Schedule FOH and event staff to meet service demands while managing labour costs in accordance with budget expectations.
- Work in conjunction with F&B Manager to manage beverage ordering and inventory control.
- Lead the ongoing development of wine, beer, spirits, and cocktail programs.
- Oversee daily end of day procedures and ensure accuracy in POS transactions and member charges.
- Work in conjunction with F&B Manager to prepare and analyze sales, labour, and budget reports, making recommendations to improve efficiency and member satisfaction.
- Ensure all food and beverage areas meet or exceed cleanliness, sanitation, and health-code standards.
- Participate in weekly management meetings and F&B team meetings.
- Perform additional duties as required to support the overall success of the Club.
**Qualifications and Skills**
- Experience in a food and beverage leadership role is considered a strong asset, particularly within a golf club, private club, or hospitality environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and motivate a diverse service team.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, member-focused environment while managing competing priorities.
- Creative and proactive approach to service delivery and event execution.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with peak demands during the golf season.
- Comfort with computers and standard office software; POS experience is an asset.
**Compensation and Benefits**
- Monthly total compensation range: $5,000 - $8,000
