**Position Summary**
PEI Atlantic Baptist Homes - Centennial Court is seeking **Maintenance Supervisor** to oversee the daily operations of the Maintenance Department.

This is a full-time, permanent position.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Plans, organizes and supervises the daily operations of the maintenance department.
- Provides direction to contractors to ensure quality of work performed.
- Prepares tenders, obtains quotes, and makes recommendations regarding maintenance projects.
- Oversees the ordering of supplies and parts.
- Receives stock and maintains inventory of supplies.
- Maintains records such as completed repairs and maintenance procedures.
- Ensure completion of necessary grounds work, such as lawn mowing and watering, and snow removal.
- Prepare necessary reports and maintain records of labour and materials used.
- Oversees all preventive maintenance on equipment, sustaining Preventative Maintenance Program.
- Tests, installs and repairs electrical equipment such as ceiling lift, circuit breakers, panels, motors, kitchen equipment, roof top ventilation units, fans.
- Maintain electrical systems in optimal, safe working order in accordance with all Electrical Codes and repair and install electrical systems and equipment as certified to do so.
- Carry out repairs to malfunctioning equipment, if possible, or take specific action to have problem solved and assist Tradesmen in carrying out services and repairs on all types of equipment in the Home.
- Perform maintenance tasks involving repair to plumbing and electrical systems, as well as to the building in general, such as repairing electrical switches, replacing tap washers, replacing belts, lubricating motors and hinges, etc.
- Make general repairs, such as touch up plastering, painting (interior and exterior), replacing tile and other similar work to the building, repair wall coverings and floor coverings, repair doors and windows. Ensure maintenance and repair of furniture and moveable equipment, build cupboards, shelves, planters, etc.
- Plans, coordinates and ensures compliance of fire drills and emergency safety measures.

**Qualifications & Experience**

**1. Education & Experience**
- Graduate from a trades program from a recognized College with a Journeyman status (Red Seal), with preference in Electrical, or Millwright, or Plumber trades.
- Knowledge of painting, carpentry, plumbing, mechanics, and equipment as well as sufficient practical experience to satisfactorily perform the work required.
- Two-three years of experience in a Maintenance Supervisor role (experience in long-term care, healthcare, or unionized environments preferred)

**Job Type**:
Full-time, Permanent

**Working Hours/Schedule**:
8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday (with rotating weekends)
