Production Team Leader

Reporting to the production Supervisor, the role of the production team leader is to ensure that the product manufactured meets the quality standards, according to the required specifications with the appropriate material, within the established deadlines. He/she trains and supervises his/her staff by ensuring motivation and mobilization and by ensuring the optimization of the resources provided. He/she must contribute to the maintenance of a clean, organized and safe plant. The team leader will be responsible for the inspector-packers.
**TASKS**:
**_Personnel Management_**
- Assign staff to the team according to the production schedule;
- Manage the absences and interpersonal relations of the members of his team;
- Manage the performance of his team and ensure the development of each member's skills;
- Ensure training, motivation, recognition and coaching of team members;
- Manage the inspector-packer's breaks as well as the rotation of positions in order to optimize performance.

Production management and documentation_**
- Complete documentation of hours worked by employees on his/her shift and schedule overtime as required;
- Follow the production schedule for the start-up of workstations (instructions, templates, etc.) and ensure product compliance;
- Collaborate in the continuity of operations between shifts by holding team meetings;
- Ensure compliance with established methods by supervising team members;
- Promote health and safety in the workplace and ensure that his staff respects safety rules.
**_ Quality management_**
- Control the conformity of parts using specialized tools and instruments;
- Manage production rejects according to established procedures;
- Control the quality of finished products according to established sampling and perform transactions in the IQMS system for finished products;
- Inspect, sort, package and sample products according to quality criteria when necessary;

- Perform all other related tasks.
**KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- High school diploma recognized by the Ministry of Education;
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment;
- Experience in team management;
- Good verbal and written communication skills in French;
- Mastery of computer tools (Microsoft Office suite);
- Have a mobilizing leadership;
- Work effectively in a team environment;
- Communication and personnel management skills.
**Assets**:
- Knowledge of IQMS (or other manufacturing production management system);
- Bilingualism (French and English), both oral and written;
- Experience in the plastics industry and knowledge of materials.
