Scale House Attendant

**Position Title**: Scale House Attendant

**Summary**: Accurately weigh all trucks to maintain internal control of all raw product, waste, scrap, etc, being shipped in and out of the factory. This is a temporary position with expected duration of 18 months.
**Essential Duties / Responsibilities**:
Promotes and adheres to company safety work rules and regulations
Communicates and interacts with Field Department personnel, growers, and truck drivers
Weights all incoming raw product, records load weights either by stamping or writing down the weight, and also weights outgoing vehicle for tare weight
Computes total volume of raw product delivered by grower and keeps field department records
Enter departmental information in to the computer
Knowledge and ability to operate Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PC&R
Keeps records according to departmental procedures
Sorts and files records or forms
Answers phone, transfers calls, conveys messages
Communicates any problems or changes in production or quality to supervisor and appropriate personnel
Attends and participates in job specific training
Understands and adheres to the concepts and techniques of the quality process in order to ensure a quality operation
Keeps area clean in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Helps build and promote a strong teamwork environment in each individual work group, the factor, and the company
Participates in continuous improvement process
Other duties as assigned
Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Competencies)
Basic computer skills required
ISN and PC&R knowledge a definite asset
Ability to work with mínimal supervision
High school graduate and can perform basic mathematical calculations
Must have strong communication skills, ability to follow detailed instructions, and be able to maintain good working relationships with Supervision and coworkers as well as ability to work with mínimal supervision
Ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently using effective time management and organization skills
Ability to problem solve and utilize resources to ensure items are communicated effectively
Hourly Rate
**Start rate**: $ 26.73
**After 6 months**: $ 27.99
