Our international parts distribution company is seeking Purchasing Analyst.

Duties include:

- Managing forecasts and inventory levels
- Being responsible for procurements and inventory control from domestic and international suppliers
- Working as part of a cross functional team, with a focus on optimizing our inventory investment and freight/logistic systems, to increase our inventory turns
- Performing supply planning for assigned product lines, including issuing purchase orders to vendors to ensure timely delivery
- Developing and publishing various Supply Chain reports
- Monitoring and updating system data (ie, item costs, currency rates, freight rates)
- Expediting inbound orders from vendors
- Assisting in the annual physical inventory count
- Working towards assigned corporate & purchasing department goals
- Assist in helping to improve item margins thru cost reductions, less handling and/or improved efficiency
- Monitor import duties to US & CDN offices and periodically adjusting coats based on new rates in conjunction with Sales department
- Reduce stock outages by ensuring seasonal stock is ordered in an adequate lead-time based on vendor production & transit timing
- Assist in reviewing and develop SOP within the purchasing department
- Participate in process to improve Forecasting & Inventory procurement as part of the Business Central upgrade process

Skills required:

- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint & Word, as well as basic computing skills
- The ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple and simultaneous tasks and programs
- Ability to rapidly adapt in a changing corporate environment

On the Job training provided

Completion of a college program in Supply Chain or Purchasing is an asset

Pay: $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
