Major Responsibilities
- Rotation within the process departments will be required. Team members will be expected to participate in break relief and may be deployed to other process or packaging departments depending on production requirements.
- Ensure that required SAP quality inspections conform to customer, legal and internal requirements.
- Sanitation of process and packaging equipment is a requirement.
- Some process equipment Preventative Maintenance and troubleshooting will be required.
- Maintain accurate production documentation and SAP quality reporting. Working with support departments, like QA, you should be able to use these tools for adjustments and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Understand and comply with all EDS Safety policies and regulations. Be proactive in Health & Safety initiatives.
- Understand and comply with HACCP, Sanitation, and Good Manufacturing Process policies and procedures. Be proactive in improvement initiatives.
- Maintain your work area in a safe and organized manner. Be proactive in initiatives to improve ED Smith manufacturing appearance.
- Maximize production efficiency through fine-tuning of equipment and procedures.

Skills Required

Ability to multi task, handle change and convey thoughts clearly both orally and written, dependable, show initiative, and have the ability to work and cooperate effectively in a team environment. Sound understanding of team dynamics, Statistical Process Control (SPC), SAP, Word and Excel would be an asset. Availability to work all shifts as well as O/T. Ability to lift 50 lbs continuously throughout shift.

Education/Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent. Basic computer skills, SAP, and manufacturing experience in the food industry would be an asset.
