Functional Business Analyst - Contract position in Vancouver (Hybrid):
On behalf of our client in Vancouver, Ignite Technical Resources is looking for a Functional Business Analyst with our client for a contract opportunity.

**Role Description**:
Reporting to the business partner, the business analyst is responsible for fostering and improving engagement and communications between departments, defining needs and specific reports required by the business, translating those requirements for the technical BI team, and providing UAT for newly created reports. Multiple other projects are also available to the BA to work on, including some business process improvement work.

**Responsibilities**:

- Gather business needs and requirements from users, analyze and design solutions accordingly.
- Cross-functional collaboration to understand business needs and identify key opportunities and challenges, define problem analytics and provide business intelligence recommendations.
- Work with developers to automate daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal reporting and repetitive tasks.
- Ownership of solution design, ensuring requirements are carried through to delivery.

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Business Analysis, Computing Science, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Business Requirements gathering elicitation, analysis and documentation is required.
- Proven experience working on BI/reporting projects in a BA capacity.
- Experience in Business Process mapping and improvement is required.
- Experience working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in Manufacturing and Logistics is considered an asset.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL, PowerBI, SSRS and other similar tools is an asset.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, organizational and communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills within a diverse team environment, with a focus on rapport-building, listening and questioning skills.
- Strong work ethic, time management, and job prioritization skills are essential.
- Strong safety mindset, especially when visiting branch office locations.
