**Job Summary**:
We are looking for a Grocery Clerk to join our team The focus of this role is to ensure that the grocery area of our store is well-maintained and running efficiently. You will act as the first point of contact with customers and help them with information and support in buying their groceries.

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Ask customers about their needs and helping them in making purchases
- Escort customers to the appropriate aisle or shelve in order to assist with purchasing decisions
- Ensure the store is clean, safe and ready for shoppers
- Maintaining and building various grocery department displays
- Rotation, loading and unloading of grocery department product
- Stock and replace products to avoid any damages
- Keep shelves fully stocked with fresh products
- Backroom and inventory management
- Assist the department with regular inventory count
- Assist with other departmental functions which include but are not limited to rotating, stocking, cleaning and maintaining the appearance and organization of the store
- Performs other related duties as assigned

**Required Skills/Abilities**:

- Proven customer service or retail experience is a plus
- Great attention to detail
- Good communication and people skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

**Education and Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 year grocery experience required

**Physical Requirements**:

- Must be able to stand during scheduled shift, withstand repetitive walking, reaching, and bending for long periods of time
- Able to lift up to 60 pounds at times
