Reporting to the Offsite Program Director, the ECE After School Educator is accountable for creating a stimulating, safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow, communicate and to provide support to families at the YMCA After School Program. The ECE After School Educator is responsible for ensuring all program requirements are met and exceeded while complying with the Ministry of Education Regulations and National YMCA Child Protection Standards.

**We are looking to hire three (3) ECE After School Educators, with a Level 1, 2, or 3 Certification or an untrained individual for a positions in our afterschool programming.**
- **Qualifications**:_

Early Childhood Education Diploma or equivalent and NS Classification.

Experience working in child care.

Maintain current first aid and CPR certification.

Maintain a clean Criminal Record Check which includes a clear Vulnerable Sector Check.

Provide and maintain an up-to-date Child Abuse Registry Check.

This position deals with multiple demands, deadlines and dealing with the day-to-day interruptions.

Work involves a moderate amount of physical, mental and visual demands.

Occasional evenings for team trainings and meetings

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $16.60-$29.64 per hour

Expected hours: 12.5 - 15 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Work Location: In person

Expected start date: 2024-10-01
