Assistant Cook

:
The Assistant Cook is responsible to the Head Cook to ensure a high standard of service delivery for the Food Services Department. The position includes food preparation and handling, dining room and cleanliness of food services areas.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Journeyman cook preferred, but not required
- Working knowledge of preparing meals for senior populations
- Considerable experience in group / institutional cooking
- Supervisory experience preferred
- WHMIS and First Aid training required
- Food Handling course required

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Responsible for the preparation of food
- Assist in menu planning
- Assist dietary staff where required
- General organization and cleanliness of the kitchen, dining room, housekeeping and food storage areas

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
