1.) This is not a “roofer job” with a salary. This is an experienced asphalt shingle subcontractor position.

2.) You must be competent at invoicing us on behalf of your proprietorship or company and determining if you must charge GST to us. Invoices are paid out to you weekly. Safely paperwork provided to you must be filled out prior to each project.

3.) You must have your own labor to accompany you and be able to manage your crew well. We will not sign on with crews less than 2 people. We prefer 3-5 person crews to have the average project done in a day and not worry about rain. 2 is fine if you both are efficient workers.

4.) In special cases, we will provide a dump trailer for disposal should you not have your own. But at a lower bundle rate. We give preference to contractors with their own disposal. In most cases, bin drops are not allowed. Dump trailers only.

5.) You must be a good and timely communicator with strong reading comprehension skills. Especially with your phone. Remember, you are the Forman on every project we send you and your crew. It is incredibly important that you respond to calls and messages in a timely manner from the inspectors and the general contractor. We are your costumer so treat us as such. English is a must.

6.) You should be familiar with water proofing and building a leak free asphalt shingle roof. We get that callbacks happen. But repeated low nails, garbage left on site, crooked valleys, etc will result in a contract termination.

7.) Be on time to sites and finish the projects you start in a timely manor. 1-2 days for most 50-70 bundle roofs under 8/12 as an example. All our work is asphalt re-roof Reno’s. If you can install metal roofs, that is an added bonus and we may have the odd project for you. But metal skills are not mandatory.

8.) Bonus :) Our company does not adhere to the traditional “interview process“. As long as you do good work, communicate well and can follow the rest of the above points when we chat there is a near guarantee you will get a contract. An agreement will be sent for signatures and pay can be discussed up front. Photos of your work are super appreciated

Description:
As a Subcontractor you will be responsible for the projects you are assigned, and your workers. Note: 1 person crews are not allowed. You must have your own labor and equipment and be capable of finishing a job on schedule. We do provide the option of a company provided dump trailer dropped off and picked up to the sites you are assigned. You must have all documents in place for you and your crew. Including fall safety training, WCB, GST number Etc. Pay is based by the square and is variable depending on if you provide your own disposal or not.

**Duties**:
Subcontract re-roof renovations from start to finish.
- Experience is a must. Projects completed must pass inspection.
- Proficiency in using hand tools for construction purposes.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints for project execution.
- Some carpentry skills to assist in building tasks.
- Capability to handle heavy lifting during project work.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 5 months

Pay: $1,000.00-$4,500.00 per week
