Ochardview Montessori is a small child care in Orleans looking for a team member to assist us in our daily cleaning, covering staff breaks and providing care to our children.
In this role you will:
- Assist maintaining a healthy, clean, and safe environment as defined under the school’s policy
- Cleans and disinfects washrooms and fixtures, collect and disposes garbage
- Sweep, vacuum and wash floors
- Spot clean walls and dusts shelves and window ledges
- Assist with sanitation of toys and other required classroom cleaning needed
- If needed, assist in kitchen if needed
- Help to cover staff lunch breaks, maintain ratios, and assist or replace staff as required
- Demonstrate care for and interest in children in helping to carry out daily duties
- Support and assist to support and promote a positive and stimulating environment that helps facilitate the facilitate the social, emotional, physical, cognitive development of children in the programs
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Preferably someone who cleaning/child care experience but not necessary
- Must Adequate energy level and ability to meet the physical demands of position
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR certification (completed at time of hiring or shortly afterwards)
- Updated Health Assessment and Immunization according to Ministry requirements
- Full vaccination against COVID-19 is mandatory
- Clear Police Reference Check for Vulnerable Sector (completed within 6 months of employment (can be completed upon hiring)
**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
Flexible language requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
COVID-19 considerations:
Increased sanitization, personal protective equipment supplied if needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Ottawa, ON K1C 7K9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

- Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
