- The opportunity- Reporting to the Director, Residential Studies at Altus Group Economic Consulting, we are looking for a Sr. Analyst with (1 to 2 year experience) to join our National Economic Advisory team in Toronto. You will play a pivotal role in conducting research, gathering and analyzing data, contributing to studies for our national clients, and writing effective consultative reports. You will be directed and guided to collect data from internal databases and third-party sources regarding economic, demographic, residential real estate market, and other topics as required. You will correspond with industry participants to elicit and compile real estate market data.
- Prepare information for reporting and analysis. You will perform data entry for analytical models and prepare preliminary analysis using advanced Microsoft Excel skills. You will undertake spatial data analysis and provide high-quality graphic outputs and mapping.
- Build and create. You will, under supervision, develop and maintain analytical models. You will draft informative and visually compelling tables and charts for consulting reports. You will support complex consulting reports by writing, editing, and proofreading assigned sections under the supervision of a Consultant.
- Learn. You will continuously upgrade your knowledge regarding the market and industry trends. You will collaborate across teams building your internal network.- You have:- The education and motivation. You have a university degree in Economics, Urban Planning, Business, or a related discipline. You have 1 - 2 years of experience in the residential real estate market as an analyst, supporting the efforts of a team and acting as a key contact for disseminating information.
- The accountability. You take ownership of your tasks, are detail-oriented, and self-motivated with a high degree of integrity, honesty and ethics. You have the initiative and resourcefulness to find solutions.
- The technical skills. You have strong research, quantitative and analytical skills. You are proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and have competency with managing databases and basic knowledge of QGIS. You have good writing skills and can compile professional reports.
