**Programs and Projects Officer**:
**PRIMARY PURPOSE**:
The purpose of this position is to provide senior administrative and project support for undergraduate programs in the College of Engineering. This position develops, implements and evaluates strategies to facilitate effective and efficient academic governance processes relating to the college’s undergraduate and certificate programs. The incumbent provides administrative leadership and support for quality assurance, graduate attribute assessment, and continual improvement processes for accreditation; supports ongoing development and implementation of the college’s strategic enrolment management plan and provides strategic planning and project management services for a broad range of initiatives relating to academic programs.

**NATURE OF WORK**:
This position reports directly to the Associate Dean Academic. The work involves aspects of strategic planning, project management, in-depth research into emerging trends and best practices, and the detailed analysis and reporting of data, as well as the oversight and implementation of tasks associated with undergraduate academic program governance and administration. There is a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment that is frequently driven by project deadlines, with the resulting occasional requirement for additional hours beyond normal work times. The incumbent will work collaboratively with the student services team within the Engineering Student Centre, as well as with senior leadership, faculty and staff within the college and across campus, and with a wide variety of external stakeholders. The position also requires a high degree of independent judgement and the ability to work autonomously. Attention to detail is critical since the impact of errors can be significant. In addition to the administration of existing academic policies and procedures, the position will be responsible for recommending, developing and overseeing the implementation of program and policy innovations to advance the strategic goals of the college.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- To facilitate academic program governance and policies through administrative and logístical support for undergraduate and certificate programs offered by the College of Engineering. This may include:

- In consultation with the Associate Dean Academic, facilitates the implementation of strategic initiatives and services in the Engineering Student Centre, which may include:

- To provide strategic planning, project management and administrative support on special projects as assigned by the Associate Dean Academic.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education**: A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field as it pertains to this position is required. A combination of equivalent education and experience will be considered.

**Experience**: A minimum of five years’ experience in a relevant post-secondary institution working with program administration and/or program quality assurance and improvement is preferred. Familiarity with the engineering profession, CEAB Criteria and Procedures, and/or experience in project management or information management would be considered an asset.

**Skills**:
