**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Assist in the planning of menus and daily specials, incorporating seasonal ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Help train new kitchen staff on proper food handling techniques and kitchen procedures.
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss menu changes, customer feedback, and improvements.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in the food service or restaurant industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food handling practices.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools, including ovens, grills, fryers, and mixers.
- Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining a clean kitchen environment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers.
