**Mechanical & Electrical Coordinator**

The M&E Coordinator provides technical and administrative support for the Mechanical and Electrical aspects of our water/waste water projects.

**How will you contribute to the team?**

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Assist the Project Manager and Site Supervisor in coordinating the work of Mechanical and Electrical contractors.
- Review the progress of mechanical & electrical work on site and monitor the quality of completed work. Report status of mechanical work to the Project Manager and Site Supervisor.
- Prepare and distribute as required, Requests for Information (RFI’s) and maintain the project RFI log for mechanical work.
- For Design Build contracts, review updated mechanical design drawings and specifications for conformance to the Tender costings.
- Arrange for distribution of updated design drawings and specifications to affected subcontractors and suppliers
- Review shop drawing submissions as required for conformance to the specifications and agreed subcontract scope. Monitor and expedite the review of mechanical shop drawings.
- Monitor the status of key mechanical equipment deliveries
- Establish procedures for measuring and monitoring materials delivered and progress of work by the Mechanical subcontractors

**Education and Experience**:

- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in coordinating mechanical and electrical work
- Prior experience in construction, particularly with water/waste water project would be an asset
- Strong computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- This position may be office or site based depending on the job

**Working Conditions**:

- This position may be office or site based depending on the project. When located on site, personal protective equipment (ie. hard hat, safety boots) required at all times.
