Baby Night Nanny

**HIRING FOR DURHAM REGION (Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa, Bowmanville)**

Relieve-Me Home Support Services is hiring **independent contract **nannies for our Night Nanny service. We are looking for nurturing, professional nannies with a love for babies who have newborn and baby care specific experience. Nannies can be an important addition to a family providing much-needed childcare for parents who need rest. Night nannies help parents take care of newborns during the night-time hours, so parents can sleep through the night and feel rested the next day. Most shifts run from 10 pm or 11 pm until 6 am or 7 am in the morning _(min 8-hour overnight shifts)_

**Required Skills**:
Seasoned, experienced Nannies with a varying set of skills (newborn care, special needs care, languages, food & nutrition)

Baby care skills: diaper changing, feeding, comforting and nurturing, personal hygiene.

Home care skills: laundry, cleaning, and food prep and nutrition

Interpersonal skills

Patience

Compassion

Multi-tasking

Some medical knowledge (a bonus)

**Qualifications we are looking for**:
**PNSW certificate or PSW certificate with 2+ years of baby specific care**

**Early Childhood Education** graduates with 2+ years of baby care experience

**Newborn Care Specialists**

**Valid Standard First Aid or Emergency First Aid Childcare CPR/AED (level A, C or BLS) (we do not accept course issued certificates)**

**Current Clear Criminal Record Check**

**Baby specific references (minimum of 3)**

**Cover letter specifying the nights you are available.**

**Detailed resume - outlining a minimum of two years of baby care experience.**

**One piece of photo ID** (for identification purposes only - Nannies of all genders, ethnicities, shapes, and sizes are welcome)

**Proof of both doses of COVID-19 vaccination** (not required, but strongly recommended)

Duties may Include but not limitted to:

- Support for the new family in their own home at night
- Sole charge of newborn baby or babies overnight
- Assist and support breast of bottle feeding and/or pumping
- Clean and sterilize pumping and feeding equipment
- Prepare formula and/or storage of breast milk
- Diaper, bathe, burp and swaddle baby
- Provide emotional and physical support for the new mom
