First Choice Millwork (FCM) is a family-owned business with offices in SE Calgary with an immediate opening for a Machine Operator. FCM and its related company employ ~30 employees, providing commercial millwork to our clients. FCM strives to provide unparalleled and responsive service to our customers.

Reporting to the Team Lead the Apprentice Cabinet Maker will operate woodworking machines and use hand tools to cut, shape and form part and components.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Operate and maintain standard woodworking machinery such as a sliding table saw, shaper, wide belt sander, and compound mitre saw
- Operate woodworking machines and use hand tools to cut, shape and form parts and components
- Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit and reinforce joints
- Repair or re-style wooden furniture, fixtures and related products
- Proficient in using an array of specialised power tools, machines, and hand tools
- Able to read and interpret shop drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of different species of wood and building materials
- Practical knowledge of woodwork and safe work procedures
- Label products accurately for shipping and installation
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment
- Ensure quality and safety standards are met throughout the entire process

**Salary**: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
