Commercial Cleaning Supervisor

CBS is seeking a reliable and experienced Commercial Cleaning Supervisor to oversee our janitorial teams across the Ottawa region. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance in various commercial facilities, manage day-to-day operations, and lead a team of dedicated janitorial cleaners. Your strong leadership skills and ability to handle administrative tasks will contribute significantly to the success of our maintenance operations.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and support janitorial teams across multiple commercial sites within the Ottawa region (ex. VIA Rail Station).
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including scheduling, task delegation, absenteeism monitoring, and quality control.
- Conduct daily site inspections to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are consistently met. Provide weekly reports to management.
- Perform administrative tasks such as payroll processing, reporting, and maintaining employee records.
- Conduct training and orientation for new employees to ensure adherence to company standards and procedures.
- Act as a liaison between the company’s HR, Accounting, and Operations departments to streamline processes and resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Interact with clients to address concerns, ensure satisfaction, and maintain positive relationships.
- Handle inventory management and order supplies as needed.

**Job Requirements and Conditions**:

- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Proven experience within the commercial maintenance or janitorial industry.
- Familiarity with various safety guidelines, cleaning techniques and equipment, including the operation of floor polishers.
- Must be able to safely lift and carry heavy loads up to 40 pounds occasionally.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and French, both spoken and written.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
- Valid driver’s license and possession of a vehicle for travel within the Ottawa region.

**Available Hours and Schedule**:

- **Hours**:30-40 hours per week.
- **Schedule**: Monday to Sunday (5 days per week) with flexibility for days and shifts.

**Additional Information**:

- Uniform and necessary equipment will be supplied, including a work phone and laptop, and required PPE.
- Required trainings will be provided.
