Supervisor, Medical Device Reprocessing

**Position Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities:Supervisory Duties**
- Supervise and support technicians in the reprocessing of reusable medical devices in all functional areas.
- Manage daily staff assignments, scheduling, coverage for absences, and lunch/break allocations.
- Conduct daily quality inspections and workflow audits.
- Monitor attendance, mentor staff, and support progressive discipline as required.
- Promote a positive team culture while ensuring high performance and productivity.
- Understand and enforce compliance with the Collective Agreement in unionized environments.
**Instrument Coordination & Inventory**
- Oversee the entire instrument lifecycle including ordering, receiving, tracking, and returns.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and forecast future needs in collaboration with clinical staff.
- Track and report on lost, damaged, or missing instrumentation.
- Coordinate with vendors for instrument repair, maintenance, and replacement.
- Manage the instrument tracking system (e.g., scanning, tray status, productivity metrics).
- Generate and analyze reports for tray utilization, repairs, and inventory audits.
- Establish and monitor processes for clinic instrument return and turnaround times.
**Training & Quality**
- Deliver in-service education on instrument care, handling, and equipment use.
- Maintain staff training records and competency evaluations.
- Support quality and cost-saving initiatives defined by SteriPro leadership.
**Health & Safety Compliance**
- Ensure team adherence to Health and Safety regulations and PPE policies.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and participate in emergency drills.
- Promote a safe workplace and actively work to prevent accidents and incidents.
- Complete and uphold WHMIS and related safety training certifications.
**Qualifications**:
- **2-5 years** of supervisory experience, preferably in Medical Device Reprocessing or healthcare
- **Medical Device Reprocessing Certification** required or willingness to obtain
- **CMDRS (Certified MDR Supervisor)** certification is an asset
- Knowledge of surgical instrument processing, decontamination, and sterilization standards
- Demonstrated leadership and staff coordination experience in a unionized environment
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and inventory tracking systems
- Familiarity with infection control practices and CSA standards
Pay: $62,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
