Industrial Plumber

**Job Overview**: As an Industrial Plumber at Polar Performance Materials, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in an industrial setting. This role is an excellent opportunity for experienced plumbers and apprentices looking to gain practical, hands-on experience in industrial plumbing. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and compliance of plumbing systems in industrial facilities.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Install, repair, and maintain industrial plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and related equipment.
- Inspect and diagnose plumbing issues, providing effective and timely solutions.
- Collaborate with team members and project managers to plan and execute projects.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes and safety standards.
- Operate and maintain specialized plumbing tools and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan plumbing installations.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing problems in a variety of industrial environments, including manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and processing plants.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians and HVAC technicians, as needed for integrated projects.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation related to plumbing work, including maintenance records and compliance reports.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as an industrial maintenance technician with a strong knowledge of industrial plumbing systems.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical manuals, and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of local plumbing codes and regulations.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy equipment and materials.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Valid plumbing license or certification an asset but not required.
- Industrial Millwright 433A license an asset but not required.
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
**Salary**: $40.00-$42.00 per hour
