Hello My name is Sahaj Durnin, and I'm the owner of a small cleaning company, Home Refreshers. I personally work very closely with all of our cleaners to ensure they love their clients, and the work they do each day. We keep communication open so they know they can connect with me anytime they need backup, more support, or questions in general.

If so, then we would love to connect with you We’re a small Ottawa-based company that specializes in Green Cleaning and Eco Organizing, and who loves building great teams. We’re passionate about clean, well-organized homes, and people, and making ‘work’ enjoyable.

Hours are mainly during the day, Monday to Friday, but the odd weekend day, or evening shift may be required. We try our best to match you with clients who are relatively close to you (within city limits). Of course it’s not always possible, but we do our best.

We have **flexible hours**, depending upon whether or not you prefer to work 6 hours or 40 hours in a week. Whether you’re a mom who just wants to work mid-day a couple of days per week, or a student wanting to work a few hours, or you're really wanting to build yourself a full roster of clients, we have a schedule to suit your needs.

**Great Wage Rates**: We typically start most of our cleaners anywhere between $20 to $25 per hour. If you have previous experience, and great references, we may be able to start you at a higher rate. If you're new to cleaning and we need to train you, we'll start you at a lower rate, and work you up in rate over time. You also get to keep any tips you make.

**Write-off your expenses**: Given that you will be employed as a contractor, you’ll have the bonus of being able to write off some of your car expenses, cell phone, and any other things you’ll need for work.

**Weekly Pay**: Many companies pay once per month or even every 2 weeks. We pay you once per week so that you never have to wait long before getting paid.

**Great Clients**: We’ve cleaned before ourselves, which is why we know how important it is to have great clients who are easy to clean for. We attract great clients, which means we get to pass on that benefit to you. You’ll love getting to know new and interesting people, who respect your work and your time.

**Stay Green, Stay Healthy**: We’ve heard stories of cleaners who have developed serious health problems because of different products they’ve had to use while cleaning which is why we only use non-toxic cleaners when working with our clients, to keep you strong and healthy.

**What we're currently looking for**:

- Someone who can work in the downtown core west to Centrepointe, the Glebe, Westboro, Nepean

*We also need another cleaner to fill a position in Kanata, Stittsville, and the west end (one of cleaners is moving to Mexico, so we have immediate clients to fill, by mid December at the latest)
- Are you someone who is reliable and can show up to a clients home on time?

- Have a valid driver’s license and use of a car?

COVID-19 considerations:
We encourage our cleaners to wear masks and gloves when working and to maintain a 2-meter distance from the client if they are home. PPE is at the discretion of each person, depending upon circumstances this can change.
