Cardiac Holter Technician

**Job Title**: Holter Scanning Technician

**Position Summary**:
The Holter Scanning Technician is responsible for the operation, monitoring, and analysis of Holter monitors to assist healthcare providers in diagnosing cardiac arrhythmias and other heart-related conditions. The technician ensures the accurate recording of cardiac activity, maintains equipment, and provides detailed reports for physician review.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Attach Holter monitors to patients and educate them on proper usage and care during the monitoring period.
- Monitor the equipment to ensure proper function and signal quality throughout the recording duration.
- Retrieve Holter monitors after the recording period and ensure data is accurately downloaded and stored.
- Analyze recorded data for irregularities or abnormalities in heart rhythms.
- Prepare detailed reports and summaries of findings for physicians.
- Maintain and calibrate Holter monitoring equipment according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Document patient information, device usage, and any issues encountered during monitoring.
- Adhere to patient privacy and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare staff to ensure accurate diagnosis and patient care.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in cardiac monitoring or related field preferred.
- Prior experience with Holter monitors or EKG equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and technical skills.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.

**Work Environment**:

- Clinical setting in hospitals, cardiology clinics, or outpatient facilities.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $28.00-$63.52 per hour
