We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Intern to join our busy and growing production plant.

**Position Summary**:
The incumbent is a self-starter who is driven to achieve results while maintaining clear lines of communication with management and can adopt a flexible approach in a dynamic and agile environment. This position requires discipline, a positive attitude, and a desire to grow professionally.

This is an approximately 3-month full-time paid internship position that requires strong organizational, and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide the production leadership team support in the research of engineering solutions that can be developed into feasible projects for improving the efficiency of current manufacturing equipment, tools, and process.
- Perform a technical analysis of possible technological developments that can improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Provide production departments support to meet targets, and production requirements, and to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
- Perform analysis of internal processes and make recommendations to increase efficiencies, introduce automation, and streamline procedures.
- Evaluate and review machinery issues as well as to conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures with projected solutions to minimize downtimes.
- Investigate and implement design and process revisions to reduce quality costs associated with production scraps.
- Assist with various lean and six sigma initiatives.

**Skills**:

- Strong computer skills (AutoCAD, Outlook, MS Office). Experience with ERP systems would be an asset.
- Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills, presentation skills, are considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail in design and problem resolution is required.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple departments and effectively manage projects from start to successful execution
Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented and organized
**Education and Experience**:

- Graduate education or currently enrolled in a recognized engineering, manufacturing, or production-related program with an accredited institution.
- Some working experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting would be considered an asset.
