**THE OPPORTUNITY**

**Job Summary**

The People and Culture Advisor - Talent Acquisition at Phoenix plays a critical role in sourcing, attracting, and interviewing prospective employees to find the perfect match for Phoenix Society’s a short -term and long-term goals. By building positive working relationships with Program Managers and key stakeholders within Phoenix Society, this role will ensure that the program needs regarding talent acquisition, staffing and HR support are fulfilled and stakeholders’ expectations are met.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Support the identification of external and internal talent across a diverse portfolio and support the talent acquisition of healthcare, support workers and leadership professionals in Phoenix Society.
- Responsible for building a strong talent pipeline for Phoenix Society’s current and future staffing needs and work closely with external vendors and agencies to support overall support strategy
- Attend and represent Phoenix Society in local job fairs.
- Maintain current knowledge of recruitment trends in the Greater Vancouver and Fraser Valley areas and promote Phoenix Society via various recruitment channels and sources.

**Recruitment Reports and metrics**
- Provide monthly and annual recruitment reports to the Director, People, Culture and to the Senior Management team.
- Analyze and present on key recruitment data and metrics to support hiring decisions and improve talent acquisition processes and procedures.

**Stakeholder engagement**
- Build positive working relationships with hiring managers, staff, and key stakeholders
- Build and update job descriptions as needed
- Post jobs on all approved job boards and social media channels (Facebook, Indeed, LinkedIn).
- Actively participate in all stages of the recruitment process (Pre-selection, interview, integration, and prepare interview guides and offer of employment letters).
- Support the administration of employee surveys, including engagement, diversity, onboarding and on exit.
- Act as a back up for the P&C Advisor
- Employee Relations and Administration.

**New Employee Onboarding**
- Send new hires onboarding documents and following up with new hires regarding the return of all pre-hire documents and training requirements.
- Support program managers to follow Phoenix Society’s onboarding procedures and completing the onboarding checklists with all new hires.

**Benefits Administration**
- Ensure all eligible staff are enrolled in Phoenix Society’s benefits plan and departing staff are terminated from the plan.
- Responsible for communicating any changes to staff members.
- Do a monthly audit of all new enrollments and employees who are terminated from benefits.
- Follow up with inactive staff regarding continuation of benefits while they are on leave.

**THE CANDIDATE**

**Qualifications**

**Education & Experience**
- Relevant degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
- Three (3) years' experience in a role supporting recruitment, sourcing, interviewing, and hiring processes within a complex organization.
- CPHR certificate or working towards obtaining certification
- Satisfactory completion of a criminal records check with vulnerable sector screening is required
- Satisfactory completion of Tuberculosis Screening form is required
- Satisfactory completion of Employee Immunization Record form is required
- First aid certification with CPR is required
- Valid class 5 driver’s license is required

**Skills & Knowledge**
- Extensive knowledge of Talent Sourcing and Recruitment and Selection best practices
- Knowledge of human resource policies and procedures as they relate to recruitment and exercises considerable judgment, tact and discretion in preparing, disclosing and handling information of a confidential and/or sensitive nature.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Boolean strings and various Internet search techniques and expertise with Internet and advanced search tools and techniques (an asset).
- Extensive experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, recruitment search methods, and social media Professional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
- Strong skills in Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, and donor database systems
