**Job Description**:
Obtain, prepare, and analyze electric arc furnace samples, raw material samples, finished product samples and environmental water samples. Conduct physical and chemical tests such as crushing and screening samples, determining the magnetic content, conductivity, density, following instructions and established procedures. Process samples for further chemical analysis at outside labs. Investigate causes of out of specification analysis and recommend appropriate process changes that may be required. Work 12-hour rotating shifts.

**Will perform duties such as**:

- 5S cleaning and organization of lab equipment and supplies
- Records test results in appropriate computer files
- Visually/chemically inspects breaking floors, shipments, raw materials, and furnace feed as directed.

**Required Skills**:
Post-Secondary Diploma in Chemistry, Quality Control or Manufacturing and/or 3 years’ experience in an industrial laboratory. Must be proficient in data entry with strong computer skills.
