**Head of Growth (Hybrid and remote work options available)**
**Job Description**:
- Working with Executive Management to establish strategic growth initiatives and accomplish financial objectives. This includes gathering pertinent group, marketing, financial, sales, and operations information and forecasting requirements to prepare an annual budget and schedule expenditures.
- Applies quality principles and practices to establish a strategic approach and improve the organization’s business development, marketing, and sales capabilities. This includes managing processes to support the organization’s strategic direction and communicating, facilitating, and supporting necessary changes for continuous improvement.
- Participates in the budget exercise to ensure growth objectives are achieved by regularly evaluating results and educating the management team on financial issues impacting budget; by reviewing financial and non-financial reports and devising solutions and/or improvements (i.e. monthly review of Insurer reports for trending, client retention and premium growth, weekly and monthly reports for trends in quote and call activity, sales and retention, and premiums generated); and by analyzing issues to provide solutions to ensure customer satisfaction and program growth.
- Determines required changes in programs and operations by conferring with management to reviews activity, operating, and sales reports. Conducts analysis for the operation including review of business development, marketing and sales reporting and metrics.
- Maintains quality services by establishing and enforcing organization standards. Establishes quality and reliability standards and control procedures by studying product and consumer requirements with members of the IIS Leadership team.
- Assesses customer satisfaction by utilizing customer satisfaction data collected through surveys, and other research tools; analyzing and interpreting results; and implementing division wide sales and marketing training programs.
- Works in conjunction with the internal member services team to resolves customer dissatisfactions by planning and directing the receipt, investigation, evaluation, and settling of complaints; following up with customers; personally, resolving difficult situations.
- Provides information to executive management and the board of trustees and board of directors including annual objectives, results, trends, and competitive information.
- Liaises with the Head of Service, VP Finance and Curo leadership to ensure growth strategies coincide with the current operational capacities for the operations teams.
- Ensures compliance with requirements, policies, and regulations by enforcing adherence to corporate systems, policies, and governmental regulations; advising executive management on needed actions.
- Fosters high performance and leads teams by communicating strategies and objectives. Provides team members with essential resources for performing individual job responsibilities efficiently and effectively. Ensures team members meet their targets to achieve overall organizational growth.
- Increases effectiveness. This includes recruiting, selecting, and training individuals, communicating strategies and objectives, and providing workers with the necessary resources to perform individual job responsibilities efficiently.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor of Arts; Business Degree (B.B.A., B. Comm.); or equivalent insurance designation (CAIB, CIB, CIP, FCIP).
- RIBO licence.
- A minimum of ten years of experience in business development, marketing, underwriting, and sales, including a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior management role.
- A minimum of five years of experience leading operations.
- Exceptional communication skills and the demonstrated ability to deal effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
- Superior time management and organizational skills to manage competing priorities.
- The ability to communicate in French is considered an asset.
