**Job Description**:
Reporting to the Manager, IT Asset & Procurement, the IT Procurement & Asset Coordinator will work with the Asset & Procurement Manager to establish processes for the ongoing management of IT inventory, handle inbound and outbound shipments, and process purchase requests.
This position will be located at our Head Office in Markham, Ontario.
Accountabilities
- Provide support tracking and maintaining the IT Inventory
- Prepare purchase requests and purchase orders ensuring proper approval has been obtained and order product from vendors. Review purchase requisition orders to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications.
- Acquiring Assets (work with Sourcing) and placing orders with suppliers
- Ensuring the processes adhere to the Procurement Policy and the Financial Management and Controls Policy and the process set out in each procurement document.
- Respond to customer inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
- Track and update the status of orders to ensure accuracy at all times.
- Ensure minimum inventory levels are maintained at all times.
- Providing support to ensure all IT inventory is shipped out in a timely fashion. Ensure inbound shipments are reviewed and verified.
- Perform weekly inventory counts/audits, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate records and report results.
- Document all procurement requests within our ticketing system and ensure all tickets are managed and updated in a timely manner
- Any other duties that may arise from time to time which fall within the parameters of this role and within the level of skills, competency, and training of the incumbent
- Comfortable lifting items that weigh up to 20 lbs
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Diploma in IT, Business, or supply chain.
- Strong problem solving, time management, and decision-making skills
- Able to work under deadlines
- Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and customer support skills.
- Good MS Excel skills - ability to construct well-structured thoughts
- Collaborative style with the ability to work well and communicate with individuals at all levels of an organization.
- Experience in handling administrative tasks and executing them proactively
- Customer-focused attitude, with the ability to understand, anticipate and identify customer needs while using information to provide the best service possible
