- Provide direct care and support to individuals in need

- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals

- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of medication administration and proper dosage
- Familiarity with nursing home or home care settings
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as needed
- Experience in hospice care or dementia care is a plus
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals in need
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals

Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Position includes pension after 975 hours, health and dental benefits after 3 months.

Applicants must be team players who enjoy working with seniors and who currently hold a PSW certificate or are currently enrolled in a PSW program.

You must be available to work every other weekend. LTC experience not necessary, but would be an asset.

TB Screening, Vulnerable Sectors Check and Pre-Employment Medical Examination required upon hiring.
