Role: Setup Technician Function: Service Role Summary: The Set-Up Technician at Macdonald's is responsible for the safe and thorough set up of all of our client equipment for rentals, demos and purchase. They are responsible for quality control, timely and efficient service and impeccable communication between our Sales and Customer Service teams. The Set-up Technician is also responsible for keepings seating inventory organized and ensuring that we have sufficient inventory of parts. This role will be well suited to an individual with mechanical aptitude who wants to learn and evolve with a growing company. **Requirements**: - Intermediate Microsoft Office knowledge, computer software and internet proficiency - Technically proficient with an interest in repairing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems - Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools - Extremely organized and detailed oriented - Effective at multitasking - Ability to work independently, without much supervision - Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job, which include bending, lifting heavy equipment throughout the day up to 100 lbs - Ability to effectively manage time and communicate with clients - Healthcare experience is an asset Key Responsibilities: - Lifting weight of up to 100lb - Setting up and inspecting equipment in a manner that ensures the overall cleanliness, safety, and quality of the equipment - Troubleshooting and providing timely diagnosis recommendations for repair - Working with Seating and Mobility Consultants setting up equipment trials and demonstrations - Adhering to Macdonald's Home Health Care's Safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment. - Cleaning and maintaining equipment on return - Diagnosing repairs needed - Ordering parts needed for repairs - Filling out detailed equipment set up sheets on work completed and logging details in System 5 - Prepare equipment set up according to manufacturers' specifications - Wheelchair/Powerchair/TIS/ Scooter and other equipment set-ups - Gathering equipment specification requests from the Sales team - Gathering equipment, including seating and hardware for set-ups. - Schedule time for equipment set-ups to be completed - Assisting with general shop duties to ensure cleanliness, organization and a well functioning workspace - Setting up equipment to best suit client needs following industry best practices - Troubleshooting and providing timely diagnosis recommendations for repair - Working with Seating and Mobility Consultants on equipment trials and demonstrations, in conjunction with healthcare professionals - Working closely with our Customer Service Team - Labelling of equipment, parts and chargers - Quality Control of equipment before it is delivered to clients or showroom - Ensuring seating and demo areas remain organized and tidy - Inventory control for seating and ordering - Preparing documentation on the equipment to be sent to the client including manual, care sheet, instructions etc. - Training of new colleagues as required Are We The Right Work-Home For You?: Culture is everything to us at Macdonald's.
