Profile
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Planning the Aircraft Asset Manager is responsible for all technical aspects of the company owned assets from aircraft acquisition/ manufacturing to aircraft sale and delivery. The Aircraft Asset Manager will support sales and operations by having a complete understanding of the aircraft maintenance status, configuration, and current utilization so the executive team can make informed decisions about the asset.
Duties & Responsibilities
Manage the technical aspects of aircraft company assets transition (acquisitions, lease returns and sales) ensuring that all the technical requirements are complied with Canada and foreign authority regulations to support the business needs.
Control the de Havilland fleet configuration and maintenance status ensuring asset readiness and cost efficiency to support the corporation requirements.
Provide asset configuration and maintenance status to other departments to support sales campaigns, engineering certification and any other aircraft use.
Support business cases with technical expertise and asset knowledge to identify aircraft transition costs.
Respond to internal and external customer inquiries about company assets in a timely and professional manner.
Create statement of work to meet the aircraft transition requirements.
Support customer technical records inspection during final delivery and acceptance of aircraft.
Work to continuously improve the acquisition and delivery processes, resulting in exceptional and consistent customer experiences.
Create and maintain all the processes, tools and technical requirements for aircraft management including aircraft additions, leases, and customer delivery transition.
**Education and Professional Qualifications**:
Direct oversight and supervision of assigned production personnel.
Motivate, organize, and encourage teamwork by promoting a positive work culture within the workforce to ensure set productivity and performance targets are met.
Ensure safe work practices are maintained by assigned production team members.
Provide Leadership, Direction, Mentorship and On Job Training to Production personnel.
**Experience**:
Minimum Ten (10) years’ experience in project management and customer relationship.
Minimum Seven (7) years’ experience in the AMO environment.
Must have a good working knowledge of Civil Aviation Authority regulations.
Must have experience with aircraft acquisitions and imports/exports procedures.
Must have experience with aircraft technical records.
Must have experience with interpreting and executing contracts.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project within a Windows environment.
De Havilland aircraft (DHC8, DHC6, CL) experience will be considered an asset.
