**Location**: 15 Shoreham Ln Suite 101, Halifax, NS B3P 2R3

**Position**:Permanent Full Time
- Monday
- Friday

**Job description**

The Payroll Clerk functions as a cohesive member of the Administration Team. They assumes responsibility for payroll processing, maintaining employee benefits as well as employee records.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- maintain employee records
- make deductions and remittances
- prepare balances and reconciliations
- prepare monthly statements
- prepare employee payments and benefits
- process forms and documentation for administration of benefits
- compile payroll related reports
- inform employees concerning payroll and benefits matters
- prepares T4's for employees
- other duties as required

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Minimum 3 years experience processing in-house payroll within a computerized environment
- Experience in pension and benefit administration
- Certificate in Canadian Payroll Association an asset
- Possess an excellent working knowledge in Microsoft office and accounting/payroll systems
- Experience within a unionized environment an asset
