Steven's Cocktail Corner Bar is seeking a dedicated and organized Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The Prep Cook will be responsible for preparing ingredients, supporting the kitchen staff, and ensuring all food prep standards are maintained to deliver exceptional service and quality drinks to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare ingredients for daily service, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning fruits, vegetables, and other bar ingredients.
Assist in the preparation of garnishes and bar snacks as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to sanitation and safety standards.
Assist with inventory management and notify management of stock levels and shortages.
Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency.
Support the kitchen team during busy hours as needed.
Ensure all food prep areas are sanitized and properly maintained.
Contribute to a positive and cooperative team environment.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a prep cook, line cook, or similar role preferred.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when necessary.
Dexterity and hand-eye coordination for food prep and handling kitchen tools.
