**Position Summary**:

- **Under the direction of the Environmental Services Manager**:_

The Housekeeping Aide will be responsible for key cleaning duties throughout the long term care home such as disinfecting of washrooms, door knobs light switches, handrails, resident rooms including beds, and furniture. This position requires a positive, ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to work in a fast paced, physically demanding and customer service oriented environment.

**The Housekeeping Aide will be responsible for all or some the following duties within the home**:

- Cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining all resident contact items.
- Keeping current on training and education (WHMIS, Infection Control, housekeeping practices).

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in the healthcare environment an asset.
- Good organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to communicate with managers, other employees and residents.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize work and takes instructions well.
- Ability to communicate verbally in Greek is an asset.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 30 per week

**Salary**: $19.50-$20.65 per hour
