**Job Summary**
The Produce Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the produce department within the retail store. This role involves managing inventory, ensuring product quality, and providing excellent customer service during customer interactions. The Produce Manager will play a key role in driving sales and profitability while maintaining an organized and visually appealing produce section.
**Duties**
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking fresh produce to meet customer demand.
- Monitor product quality and freshness, implementing proper rotation practices to minimize waste.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to promote produce items, maximizing sales opportunities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the produce department in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding inventory needs, sales promotions, and departmental goals.
- Analyze market trends to adjust product offerings and pricing strategies accordingly.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in produce management or a similar supervisory role within a retail environment is a must.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Knowledge of fresh produce varieties, quality standards, and market trends is highly desirable.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6-8 months
Pay: $17.20-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 - 32 per week
